writer. photographer. smart ass.

accomplished goofball.

The summer of 2011 I found myself deftly maneuvering my messy personal life alongside plotting the creation of a job that would take me to Melbourne, Australia for Spring Fashion Week. Social media was on the brink of its explosion and I exploited that fact with every fiber of my being by writing a seven-page proposal to KEVIN.MURPHY and convincing their CEO to hire me to handle theirs. This is how I ended up finding myself at MSFW barely two months later surrounded by the likes of Dannii Minogue and Miss Jay from ANTM.

Be careful what you wish for.

You just might get it.

Although it sounds like a dream scenario, much like my chaotic marriage at the time, it was rife with blunders from the start. Some of the tales I'll tell here while some I've saved for the book so I can get you to buy something, so I can continue to afford to travel, get high + write, and manage to squeeze in a little work along the way.

*This is what happens when you read far too many rockstar memoirs and start to think that you, too, might be capable of a similar yet monogamous lifestyle past 40. 🙄

This blog is about what happens when your zest for living life and traveling the globe while simultaneously being a career driven #BusinessLady coincides with getting your shit together and making wiser choices in your relationships while still managing to get into some non-jail-related trouble along the way. (Was that a run-on sentence?) DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD THAT IS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BALANCE?

I got my shit together. Mostly.

I want success and I want fun.

This blog is about what happens when they collide.
