I've got to say, as I sit here listening to John Legend after having cleaned up after our #ChrissyTeigenCookOff I feel like I'm infiltrating their marriage from the north, hehe.
TODAY'S LESSON is in blog form:
Yesterday, being super stoked that Arrested Development was coming back I excitedly shared a post in my feed as well as stories to tell people as much.
Then it happened.
Jason Bateman pulled an insta-douche move. I was devastated.
Then my brain was forced into an Alia Shawkwat/Jason Bateman debate. What side do I take? I love them both!
I put myself in Jessica Walter's shoes (LOVE her on Archer) and I saw myself in Alia. She stands up for what's right. She's always been one of my heroes.
But I can forgive Jason. We are all learning how to live life on the right side of history, and he is too. And I'd like to think that since my brand message is so strongly rooted in feminism that my followers will see that too. But if that fool doesn't start acting right Imma have to call his ass out. You're allowed fuck up as long as you learn from it and do better next time.
I'm rooting for you, Bateman. We need more male feminists on our team.
Don't forget to tag #CommunityOfMisfits so we can keep up with each other over on INSTAGRAM!
XO, MZ 💋
